All Business plans need a section on the financials of the business. The detail and the elements included here will greatly vary depending on the nature of the enterprise and the intended reader of the business plan.

If you’ve ever watched BBC2’s Dragons Den you will be aware of how vexed investors get by those who are either under prepared or simply don’t know the numbers underpinning their business. This section of your plan should include realistic forecasts of revenues and costs as well as historic figures where applicable / relevant.
